The 2011 District Qualifying Tournaments ("DQTs") were held in April-May 2011. In total, 60 medals were earned by Potomac Valley AAU clubs.
The Matrix led the way both in total medals with 11 and with gold medals with three. The four clubs receiving the most medals were:

2011 District Qualifying Tournament Dates, Schedules, Standings, Results

The following clubs are hosting the 2011 District Qualifying Tournaments (DQTs). When a schedule has been posted and approved, it is listed under applicable division’s column as either "Pool Play" or "Medal Round":
* Excel versions of Medal Round schedule; web version to be posted upon completion of Pool Play.
The DQTs serve to crown champions of the Potomac Valley AAU District as well as for teams to earn spots to AAU Nationals. See new rules for earning trips to Nationals in the article below.
The DQTs are held during a five-week window period from April 22-May 22, 2010.
Grade 6 Division I -- Score Correction Changes Medal Round Match-Ups

After the correction to the score of game #404 in the 6th Grade Division I DQT on Monday, changes have been made to the pool play standings and the medal round schedule.
There’s a 3-way tie for 2nd in Pool A. Team Sol earns second place with the most +/- 13 points at +5. The MD United Lady Ballers and the MD Mustangs are tied at -13 points. Therefore, 3rd place is decided based on head-to-head between these two teams. Since the MD Mustangs defeated the Lady Ballers, they will finish 3rd. The website standings show the Lady Ballers in third place, but that is not correct.
The website standings will continue to show as described above, but the OFFICIAL standings are MD Mustangs in third place and the MD United Lady Ballers in fourth place.
The Medal Round schedule on the website was adjusted on May 17 and is now correct as posted.

97 Teams Entered for 2011 Potomac Valley DQTs; Draw Results

On Wednesday, April 13, at the Potomac Valley Girl’s Basketball monthly meeting, 97 teams entered the 2011 Potomac Valley Distict Qualifying Tournament ("DQT").
Once all the team packets were turned it, the draw was held to assign teams to pools for each division in each grade level. Click here to see the draw results. Note: two 8th grade Division II teams were accidently omitted from the draw and so they were subsequently added to the list of participating teams.

2011 DQT Registration Information and Requirements Now Available

The 2011 Potomac Valley District Qualifying Tournaments ("DQTs") take place during a five-week window period from April 22-May 22, 2011. All registrations for the DQTs were due and filed on Wednesday, April 13 at the PV GBC meeting at Falls Church High School.

How Many Teams Qualify for D-I, D-II and D-III Nationals from Each Age Group

The number of teams that qualify for Division I, Division II or Division III Nationals depends on teams place at Districts and whether they have qualified at a Super Regional Tournament.
