Can A Team Entered in the D-I DQT Qualify For D-II Nationals
Answer: Yes
While the Potomac Valley District holds separate D-I and D-II qualifying events, it is not required. However, in the case of when separate D-I and D-II DQTs are held, teams not qualifying for the D-I tournament are eligible to qualify for D-II Nationals.
The Potomac Valley policy re: qualifying for the D-II tournament is that the first two D-II bids go to the first and second place finishers in the D-II tournament, but the remaining D-II bids are first available to D-I teams that failed to qualify for D-I Nationals.
