The Player Eligibility section of the 2008 Girls’ Basketball Handbook provides the National AAU Girls’ Basketball rules for players participating on a team in a Border District. 

The following is word-for-word* from the 2008 AAU Girls’ Basketball Handbook in the Competition Rules section on Page 6:

Participating In A Bordering District

-An athlete may participate in her District of residence, where she attends school full time OR in a bordering District qualifying tournament. At no time will a player be eligible to play in a District that is not her own or does not border her own. She shall register in her resident District.

 

-A maximum of three (3) athletes from border Districts will be allowed on any team at the District, Regional or National level.
