Can A Player Be Rostered and Play On More Than One Team at Regionals?
Answer: No [See Note Below re: 2009]
Question
Can a player be rostered and play on more than one team at at Regionals?
Analysis
The Player Participation rules are defined in the 2008 AAU Girls’ Basketball Handbook in the Competiton Rules section on Page 10. The Player Participation rules state,
"A player may participate in only one age division in their District Qualifier. If a District has separate D-I & D-II Tournaments, they will be counted as separate divisions."
For purposes of defining "one age division", separate D-I and D-II DRTs are considered separate age divisions.
Conclusion
A player may be rostered and play on only one team in any Potomac Valley DQT. This rule applies even if the player desired to be rostered in different age groups or different divisions within the same age group.

Potential Change in 2009
The new rules for 2009 include the following re: participation at Nationals:
"Girls may play for the same Club in as many as three Divisions in which they qualify."
The impact of this new rule on participation at Districts will need to be addressed in the 2009 Handbook.
