Call to Order and Clubs in Attendance 

Meeting called to order at 7:40 pm

Could not vote on meeting minutes-no quorum

Old Business:

District Qualifying Tournament Information

• Draw Meeting will be held, Wednesday, April 14 @ 6 pm
• Host teams needs to ensure packets are complete
• Reminder:  Registration instruction letter posted by March 27 – these are for clubs/teams/coaches and mangers

New rules for girls AAU basketball – see website

Now meeting in May

June 9^th will be next meeting @ 7 pm – DQT wrap-up

September will be next meeting to plan for the 2010- 2011 yr

April 1st will be PV District All Sports Annual Meeting & Elections

• All nomination must be in 30 days before meeting
• There will be a blast notice coming out

List of non-athlete

• Check rooster to ensure its completeness
• Check to see that each member has a club code
• There are 600 girl members with/out a club code

Host Teams for DQTs

• Classics – 8/9 u – May 1-2 & May 8&9 – Bullis tentatively
• Lady Ballers – 10U – April 23 – 25 & April – May 2 – Capital Sports Complex
• Cardinals – 11/13 – April 23-25 & April – May 2 – Mount Vernon?
• Vogues – 12U – May 1- 2 & May 8 – 9 - ?
• Team Sol – 14U – May 7 – 9 & May 14 – 16 – Northwestern, Holy Cross, & Parkdale
• Hoop Magic – 15U – May 15-16 & May 22 -23 – Hoop Magic in Chantilly

Officials re: DQTs – Will put together a training session for all officials – mandatory

• To ensure every official is on the same page
• 4 min warm-up
• Game time is game time
• Rules at table
• Dates for training TBD

Rules for DQT registration

• Copy of birth certificate (BC)
• Print on-line roster
• Signed AAU cards
• Grade exception form
• 48 to contact team for completeness of packet

Additional AAU Rules

• Can pick up 7 players after DQT
• 14U – allowed 6 fouls

Action – Andy will provide balls to host teams & will get ruling on socks

Advancing to Nationals out of DQTs by Finishing Position

• Division I
  • Ages 10 – 16 1^st & 2^nd go to DI
  • 3^rd & 4^th go to DI or DII
  • 5^th and lower can go DII or DII
• Division II
  • Ages 10 – 16 1^st & 2^nd go to DII
  • 3^rd and lower can go DII or DIII
