Potomac Valley AAU District Girls Basketball (GBB) Committee Meeting – March 11,2009
Meeting was called to order
The meeting was called to order by P.K. Martin at 7:35 pm.

There were 8 (*) AAU clubs eligible to vote.
The meeting minutes from February were reviewed and approved.

Johnny Mae Armstrong is asking all Club Representatives to look at your team member list to ensure that all your players are accounted. Also when registering please enter your club code to ensure those players are listed under your organization and not in limbo.
Also please review address and other information listed under each athlete and non-athlete. Primary Club Contacts are able to print out a complete member listing to review to ensure everyone is on it and that the list is correct. If you find any players missing, it may be due to missing information, wrong club code or no club code entered. There are over 100 athletes that do not have the correct club code.
Within the AAU Girls Basketball National website, you also have the capability to build your individual team/club rosters and manage those players from this point on. This also makes it easier to add and delete players without having to create and re-input all the information into the system year after year. You can not enter/update any information without the correct club code.
Once on the site you can create a user ID and password for the club/team, you may add, delete and upload/scan all your player information (etc, birth certificates, grade exception forms, pictures, etc.)
There are 18 clubs that have more than 5 members and 13 clubs that have less than 5 members.
PK recommendation is before all paperwork is to be scanned/uploaded into the data base is for it to be of good quality and to ensure the club numbers are correct. Also it is better to scan in PDF files, forms are clearer, than the jpg format

9U – Classics - April 18 –19 & 25 – 26 (Montgomery County)
10U – Cardinals – April 25 – 26 & May 2-3 (Mt. Vernon/Edison HS)
11U – Cardinals - April 25 – 26 & May 2-3 (Mt. Vernon/Edison HS)
12U – MD United Lady Ballers – May 8 - 10, May 15 - 17 (Washington Bible College & Capital Sports Complex
13U – Team Sol – May 8-10 & 15-17 (Capital Sports Complex)
14U – Flames – May 8-10 & 15 – 17 (Georgetown Prep)
15U – Beltway Lady Cougars – May 1-3 & 8-10 (Largo, Central, Duvall HS)
16U – Vogue – May 8-10 & 15-17 (George Marshall/McLean HS)
Open – Vogue - May 8-10 & 15-17 (George Marsahall/McLean HS)
DQT Format – Closed
The format will be as follows:
DI & DII – will be kept in separate brackets, Goal is to have 4 teams/pool as a minimum
DI - All age divisions will use pool play, then single elimination medal round with all pool play teams advancing to seeded playoff. (Everyone advances to playoff)
DII – All age division will use pool play with top 2 from each pool advancing to bracket play. (Only top 2 advance to playoff)
Clubs agreed on decision that was made at February’s meeting
DQT Fee – Closed
Fees – are made out to Host teams
DQT fee of $525/team with $25 going towards the website fee, which give an increase of $25 for DQT fee

New Business
DQT Drawing will take place at next month’s meeting.
Pool play & Single Elim Bracket templates will be available for host teams usage.
Balls to arrive to Andy with the next week.
Next Meeting – Draw Meeting April 8, 2009. Club packet turn in 6-7pm – Draw starts 730pm
