The first weekend of the 2009 DQTs is in the books:

• 9-Under/4th Grade.  Both the Matrix-Reed and Flames teams easily finished 4-0 to wrap up their respective pools.  The Matrix finished at the maximim +52 points, with a closest game of 18 points, while the Flames were a +48, outscoring their opponents 171-46.  Despite the dominance of these two teams, there were many other tight, and highly competive games. 
  
  In Pool B, there was a 3-way tie for 2nd place, with the Virginia Hurricanes earning the second seed based on having the highest +/- 13 point spread.  The Fairfax Stars finished second in Pool A. 
  
  All 10 teams advance to the single elimination medal round. 
  
• 8-Under/3rd Grade.  The Classics went 2-0 to win Pool A and the Mustangs went 2-0 to win Pool B.  All six teams advance to the single elimination medal round.
