The 2008 Potomac Valley District Qualifying Tournaments ("DQTs") started marks the kick-off of the Potomac Valley DQT website featuring schedules, scores, standings and more from all the DQTs.  Here are some tips about the DQT website’s features and how to use them.

Schedules and Standings -- Separate Sections for Pool Play and Medal Round Play
Game schedules are maintained for pool play and for medal round play for each of the age groups; separate schedule are maintained for D-I and D-II in each age group that has both divisions.  The schedules for pool play and medal round play are also on separate schedules. 

The schedule page includes a game-by-game schedule, scores once entered, gym facility (that links to a faciltiy page with maps and directions) and standings by pool.  For Medal Round play, the system will also be able to generate a bracket view.  Click here to see the 12-Under Division I schedule page. 

When an age group’s schedule is added and ready for use, a link will be added to the schedules on on the home page and the DQT homepage

HOME Team Listed First on Web Schedules [Revised May 2, 2008]
The HOME team vs. AWAY team schedule format on the website is now consistnet with the way AAU typically publishes its schedules.  On the website, the HOME team will be listed first (wear WHITE jerseys) and AWAY team will be listed second (wear DARK jerseys). 

Note:  Prior to May 2nd, the AWAY team had been listed first on the schedules. 

Bells and Whistles for Schedules and Standings
Some bells and whistles for the schedules and standings include:
.  Team schedule.  From any division’s schedule, you can click on a team name and you’ll get the schedule for just that team.  Click here to see the 12-Under Division I Potomac Valley Vogues pool play schedule. 
.  Facility links.  Click on any facility name on a schedule and you’ll go to that facility.  Click on the date in the small calendar graphic by the specific court at the facility and you’ll link to a list of all the games previously played and scheduled to be played on that court.  Click here to see the schedule for the Bishop McNamara High School Main Court.   

Follow All Your Club’s Teams via Club Pages
Every club that has a team entered in the 2008 DQTs should have its own Club Page.  When you click on Club Page from the homepage or the DQT home, you’ll go to that club’s Club Page.  The Club page inclues some basic background information about the club as well as a club logo (if one could be found) and a link to the club’s own home page (if a link was authorized by the Club).

The most important informtion on a club’s Club Page is a list of all the clubs’ teams entered in a 2008 DQT.  When you click on a team’s name, you’ll go to a Team Page for that team.

Click here to visit the Maryland Flames’ Club Page.  The Flames have the most teams in the 2008 DQTs with a total of 21 entrants. 

The Club Page also includes a link for Complete Club Schedule.  When you click on this, you’ll see all the Club’s games -- schedules and scores for the all 21 Flames’ teams in the DQT as well as the Flames’ teams that entered the 2008 Team Sol SRT.

Follow Your Team via its Team Page
Each team has its own Team Page that will automatically populate with the team’s name, pool play schedule and standings and a link to medal play schedule.

DQT Facilites -- Addresses, Directions, Maps and Facility Schedules
To see a list of all facilities being used for DQT games, click on DQT Gyms-Directions from the DQT homepage.  Click here to go directly to the DQT Gyms-Directions page.    To find the desired facility, just click on the letter that corresponds with the first letter of the first name of the gym; if a school is named after a person, only the last name is used (e.g.,  "Madison High School" may be referred to as James Madison High School, but it is Madison High School on this website.
