Potomac Valley AAU Girls’ Basketball Committee Rules of Operation

Overview

The Potomac Valley AAU Girls’ Basketball Committee operates by the rules of the “Amateur Athletic Union Codebook”; the Codebook, which applies to all AAU activities, not just AAU Girls’ Basketball, is published annually. Click here to go to the National AAU website and view the AAU Codebook.

The PV Girls’ Basketball Committee does not have any additional or separate rules of operation.

Some of the key sections of the AAU Codebook providing rules for the operation of the Potomac Valley AAU Girls’ Basketball Committee include, but are not limited to, the following Sections of the Codebook:

Article II, Section E(5) – Committees

This section relates to the rules that establish the PV AAU Girls’ Basketball Committee, the Committee’s Director, Committee Meetings and voting at Committee meetings.

Article II, Section E(4) – Meetings

This Section E(4) provides rules related to meetings of the District, not specifically the meetings of a District Committee such as the Girls’ Basketball Committee. However, the principles of this provision are applied by the Potomac Valley Girls’ Basketball Committee in terms of holding meetings since the Committee does not have separate operational rules.
