This Section E(4) provides rules related to meetings of the District, not specifically the meetings of a District Committee such as the Girls’ Basketball Committee. However, the principles of this provision are applied by the Potomac Valley Girls’ Basketball Committee in terms of holding meetings since the Committee does not have separate operational rules.
When applying the Codebook provisions to the Girls’ Basketball Committee, committee terms replace general district terms. As such, District Governor = Committee Director and Board of Managers = PV Girls’ Basketball Committee.
The summary below uses the substituted terms as they would be applied to the PV Girls’ Basketball Committee.
· Section E(4)(a)-Annual Meeting. Annual meetings are held in May or June of each year.
· Section E(4)(b)-Special Meetings. Special meetings shall be held upon the call of the Committee Director or upon written request of one-third of the Basketball Committee.
· The PV Basketball Committee has a standing meeting as called by the Committee Director on the second Wednesday of even numbered months.
· Section E(4)(d)-Notices. At least 15 days notice must be provided for each meeting.
· Section E(4)(e)-Quorum. A quorum at a PV Girls’ Basketball Committee meeting shall consist of at least five member clubs.
