Day 4 -- Classics and Matrix Both Eliminated
In near mirror performances, the Arlington Matrix and the Potomac Valley Classics were eliminated on Wednesday in the first day in the loser’s bracket.
The Classics fell 32-19 to the CT Roughriders and the Matrix dropped their game 32-18 to the Carolina Comets.

Day 3 -- Matrix and Classics Both Drop Into Loser’s Bracket on First Day of Championship Play
The Potomac Valley Classics lost a close game Tuesday morning to the Winston-Salem Stealers by the final score of 31-26. Immediately afterwards, the Arlington Matrix also lost their first round game, falling 37-10 to the GA Metros. Both teams must now try to fight their way back through the loser’s bracket.
At 9:00 on Wednesday, the Matrix take on Carolina Comets and at 10:30 the Classics battle the CT Roughriders. By winner on Wednesday, the teams will play another game in the afternoon.
Day 2 -- Matrix and Classics Both Go 1-2 in Pool Play; Championship Brackets Start Tuesday
The Arlington Matrix got their first win of ther tournament with a 25-14 win over the MS Magic early Monday afternoon. In their evening game, the Matrix fell 36-22 to Pool F champion Madison Lady Stars. With their 1-2 record, the Matrix finished 3rd in their pool.
The Potomac Valley Classics dropped two games on Monday to also finish 1-2, good for 3rd place in Pool G.
All teams advance to the Championship Bracket. The Classics and the Matrix both play at 9:00 AM on Tuesday.
Day 1 -- Classics Win and Matrix Fall in Openers
In a defensive battle, the Potomac Valley Classics won their opener 24-15 over the Wilmington Tigers on Sunday. The Matrix droped their first game 30-23 to the Future Stars of New York.
Both teams play two games on Monday in the second and final day of pool play. All teams will advance to a double-elimination Championship Bracket.
